Dr. Steven Witchoskey, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, Cert. DN

Hey! I'm Steven, a licensed sports physical therapist & board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.I've spent the last decade studying and administering advanced orthopedic and sports rehabilitation techniques, strength & conditioning, dry needling, and sports science.I’ve worked with athletes on every level: Olympic, professional, Division 1 collegiate, youth sports, & weekend warriors; serving on staffs with Florida Gator Football sports science, Dallas Trinity FC medical staff, and locally at IMG Academy medical staff.I've conducted sports science testing & GPS monitoring for Florida Gator Football, as well as injury rehabilitation, post-operative care, return-to-sport programming, & wellness management with Dallas Trinity FC (Professional Soccer). Before becoming a physical therapist, I played Division I football at Western Kentucky University, where I was a four-year letterman & two-year team captain.
Competing at that elite level shaped my understanding of the physical and mental demands of sport, as well as the value of communication, trust, and individualized care during rehabilitation.
My clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based physical therapy, sports science, and strength and conditioning principles, with a focus of you recover, perform, and return to the activities that you love.

PERFORMANCE PHYSICAL THERAPY

INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH

Our one-on-one physical therapy services are designed for active adults who value a consistent exercise, fitness, athletic, or sport routine — and want to get back to it after injury.Whether you’re dealing with a running injury, gym-related pain, a sports injury, post-operative recovery, or a setback that’s keeping you from training the way you want, our goal is to help you return to the activities you love with confidence. We focus on bridging the gap between traditional rehab and long-term performance. That means we do more than simply reduce pain — we assess how you move, identify contributing factors, build strength and resilience, and create a plan that supports your return to exercise, sport, and an active lifestyle. As Doctors of Physical Therapy with advanced training in sports and orthopedic injuries, we specialize in evaluating movement, addressing movement limitations, and using evidence-informed treatment to target the root cause of pain or injury. Our approach combines physical therapy, strength and conditioning principles, manual therapy, and return-to-activity testing to help you move better, recover fully, and stay active for the long run.Services Include:
Overuse Injury Rehab
Pre-Operative Rehab
Post-Operative Rehab
Return-to-Sport/Activity Testing
Manual Therapy
Injury Risk Reduction Programs
What Is the Movement System?
The movement system refers to the way multiple body systems — including the muscular, skeletal, nervous, cardiovascular, and other physiological systems — work together to create movement.
We use the movement system as the foundation for how we evaluate, treat, and train. By looking at how your body moves as a whole, we can better understand why pain or injury occurred and develop a customized plan to help you return to your workouts, sports, and daily activities with improved strength, control, and confidence.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is an effective option for active individuals who want to recover faster, move better, and get more out of their rehab or training. If pain, tightness, or muscle irritation is limiting your workouts, sport, or daily activity, dry needling can help accelerate progress and make movement feel more comfortable again. For many patients, the value of dry needling is the ability to address stubborn muscle pain and tightness that may not fully resolve with stretching, massage, or exercise alone. By helping reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore muscle function, dry needling can make it easier to train, lift, run, compete, or simply stay consistent with the activities you enjoy.Investing in dry needling can help you:- Return to workouts, sport, and active routines sooner
- Reduce time spent dealing with recurring tightness or pain
- Improve mobility so you can move and train more effectively
- Get more out of your rehab sessions by making exercise feel better
- Address nagging issues before they become bigger setbacks
- Support long-term consistency with your fitness or athletic goals
For active patients, the return on investment is simple: less time limited by pain, more productive training, and a clearer path back to the activities that matter most.Dry needling is most effective when used as part of a complete treatment plan. Combined with movement assessment, manual therapy, and strength-based rehab, it can help you feel better, move better, and stay active with greater confidence.
